Today we went to Daggett Farm in Slater Park, Pawtucket, RI where Mike gave a program about basic rose care. It was a beautiful Saturday morning – perfect weather for an outdoor program. Forty-six people came to hear Mike’s program and learn about our “Six Basic Steps for Growing Great Roses.”
Roses aren’t difficiult to grow: you just need to give them what they need. After growing roses for over 20 years and giving rose programs at events and flower shows, we developed a program of 6 easy-to-follow steps that get gardeners off to a good start growing roses. (If you would like a copy of our “Six Basic Steps for Growing Great Roses” fact sheet, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I’ll send you an electronic copy.
Daggett Farm is located in Slater Park where the old zoo used to be. There’s a terrific gift shop and greenhouse with all sorts of plants and floral arrangements with the proceeds benefiting the ARC of Blackstone Valley. Well worth a visit, especially with kids.
